Why Our Memberships Matter
Our company belongs to several important industry associations. Why should this matter to you? Well, because they help us keep up-to-date on all of the latest rules and regulations governing our industry. And they help us to maintain high levels of patient care by offering examples for best practices in home health care.
For example, recently the state enacted new regulations regarding infection control. They have mandated not only updated policies, but also that specific training be provided to company personnel so that they will know what best to do for your loved one. Following best practices when it comes to patient care is always our philosophy. Our membership in the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina has not only kept us up-to-date on this change, but has afforded us the necessary training for our staff.
Other associations in which we participate can also directly affect you and your family. We are a member of Triad Local First. This organization works to promote consumers getting products and services from locally owned businesses like ours. We are also a member of the Better Business Bureau of Central North Carolina and in 2013 received its Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The BBB is there to help monitor any consumer complaints and help to resolve them. They are an important indicator for people who wish to find out whether or not a Home Care provider is reputable. I’m proud to say that we had no complaints last year with the BBB. That gives people confidence that we will deal with them honestly in providing their care.
Our memberships in the Chamber of Commerce and the Greensboro Merchants Association connect us to the various events happening in support of our community, and it also provides business training and resources. All things that help us be a better locally owned and responsive business. After all, we care about the Triad, it’s our home!
